A CSA violation can ruin a driver’s whole run. The good news is that most violations can be easily avoided through routine maintenance, careful inspection and training.

Below are the most common vehicle and driver violations for the most recent reporting period:

While some of the violations can be the result of deliberate actions (speeding, seat belt, HOS), others are easily avoided through pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance and training in how to spot problems, particularly brakes that are out of adjustment.

Whatever their opinions of CSA enforcement, it’s on drivers to know what the rules are and make sure they’re in compliance. Avoid the points!
